Ledgerpost terms of service
Last updated: October 2026
These terms apply to the Ledgerpost app for Shopify ("the app"), provided by Libanto Inc. ("Libanto"), and to the Shopify store that installs it ("you"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms; the person who installs it confirms that they are the store owner or a staff member the owner has allowed to install apps.
1. What the app does
- The app reads your store's orders, payments, refunds, products, customers and Shopify Payments payouts from Shopify, and writes the corresponding records (customers, items, invoices, sales receipts, payments, credit memos, refund receipts, deposits and journal entries) to the QuickBooks® Online company you connect.
- The app works with QuickBooks Online companies in the United States with US dollars as the home currency. It does not support QuickBooks Desktop, other QuickBooks regions, or other accounting systems.
- Nothing is written to QuickBooks until you review a dry run and approve a go-live date. After go-live, an eligible Shopify edit updates the unpaid invoice it belongs to and an eligible cancellation voids it, as long as the QuickBooks record has not been changed outside the app; every other change to what was already posted goes through a correction plan you approve. Changes to mappings and posting rules apply to future events only.
- When the app cannot post an event correctly it holds it, shows the cause and the action that resolves it, and waits for your decision; a posting that fails for a technical reason after its retries is shown on Home and in Activity and may need a reconnection, an explicit retry or support. You can pause posting at any time.
- The app records what Shopify reported in QuickBooks. It is not an accounting, bookkeeping, tax or legal service, it does not reconcile your whole business, and it does not decide how your business should account for its sales. You, or your bookkeeper or accountant, remain responsible for your books, your tax filings, and reviewing what the app posts. Verify what the app records with a qualified accountant before relying on it for tax or financial reporting.
2. Your responsibilities
- Keep an active QuickBooks Online subscription and a user who can authorize the connection.
- Choose the accounts, items, tax settings and posting rules the app uses, and review the dry run before approving go-live.
- Review held events in the app's exception list and decide them.
- Use the app only for stores and QuickBooks companies you are authorized to manage, and do not use it to post records you know to be false.
- Your use of Shopify and of QuickBooks Online remains governed by their own terms. The app is not made or endorsed by Shopify or Intuit®.
3. Plans and billing
- All charges are billed by Shopify through your Shopify invoice, under Shopify's billing terms. Libanto does not collect payment details.
- Plans (monthly, in US dollars; the current prices are the ones shown on the app's Shopify App Store listing and on the plan selection page):
| Plan | Orders per month | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Evaluate | — (no live posting; dry run over the last 30 days, up to 2,000 orders scanned) | $0 |
| Standard | up to 500 | $49 |
| Plus | up to 2,000 | $99 |
| Pro | up to 10,000 | $199 |
- Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial, managed by Shopify; the plan converts to paid at the end of the trial unless you cancel first.
- An order counts toward the monthly limit when it is first posted to QuickBooks in that month. Retries, later payments, refunds, edits, test orders, orders cancelled before posting, and historical backfill do not count.
- At 80 % of your plan's monthly allowance the app warns you, and again when the allowance is reached. Paid plans keep posting above the allowance; the app asks you to move to the plan that fits.
- Plan changes and cancellations are made through Shopify. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the current billing period. Partial billing periods are not refunded unless the law requires it. A price change is announced at least 30 days before it applies to you.
4. Data
You keep all rights to your store's data and your customers' data. Libanto has a limited licence to store, process and transmit that data only to provide the app, and accesses it only to operate and maintain the app, to answer your support request, or when the law requires it. How the app handles the data is described in the privacy policy.
5. Support
Support is provided by email at support@getledgerpost.com and from inside the app (Get accounting help). Business days are Monday to Friday, Eastern Time. Libanto aims to answer within two business days on Evaluate, within one business day on Standard, and the same business day on Plus and Pro, Pro with priority; a request received after 2 PM Eastern counts as received the next business day.
6. Availability and changes to the app
- Libanto may change the app, including adding or removing features. A change that removes a feature you use is announced by email or inside the app at least 14 days before it takes effect.
- Libanto may pause posting for all stores in an emergency (for example a defect that could write incorrect records). Events keep queuing and become eligible to post after posting resumes, subject to any hold or failure of their own.
- Libanto works to keep the app available but does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Posting runs on a queue: temporary failures are retried; an accounting hold waits in the exception list for your decision, and a posting that still fails after its retries is shown on Home and in Activity and may need a reconnection, an explicit retry or support before it can continue.
7. Ending use
- You can uninstall the app at any time from your Shopify admin. Billing stops as Shopify's billing rules provide.
- Uninstalling does not remove records the app already wrote to QuickBooks; they are part of your QuickBooks company.
- After uninstalling, your store's data in the app is deleted as described in the privacy policy.
- Libanto may suspend or end your use of the app if you breach these terms, use it in a way that harms other merchants or the service, or if Shopify or Intuit withdraws the access the app depends on; where possible Libanto tells you first and gives you the chance to put it right.
8. Legal terms
- Warranty disclaimer. The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Libanto does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- Limitation of liability. To the extent the law allows, Libanto is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue, arising from the use of the app, including errors in the records it posts, tax outcomes or financial decisions made on them. Libanto's total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose.
- Governing law and venue. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware.
- Changes to these terms. Libanto may update these terms. A material change is announced by email to the store's contact address or inside the app at least 14 days before it takes effect; continued use after that date is acceptance of the change.
- General. If a part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and Libanto about the app. Libanto may assign these terms to a successor of its business; you may not assign them without Libanto's consent. Notices to you are sent to the store's contact email; notices to Libanto go to the address below.
